2016: Kinhofer owned a .226 batting average this season, starting all 50 of her appearances.  She posted two hitting streaks during the season, starting with a season-best seven-gamer from April 4 to April 12 (9 of 23 - .391). She registered two two-hit games during that run (Saint Peter’s and Siena). She started a six-game hitting streak three games later with a two-hit effort against Stony Brook. Kinhofer owned a .467 batting average during the six-game streak (7 of 15) . The infielder recorded seven doubles during the season with four coming in a five-game run. She had a double against Wagner before registering a two-base hit in consecutive games in the Saint Peter’s doubleheader and the first game against Siena. 

2015: Kinhofer owned a .232 batting average during the season, playing in 46 of 49 games with 37 starts. She posted two hitting streaks during the season, starting with a season-best seven-gamer from April 4 to April 12 (9 of 23 - .391). She registered two two-hit games during that run (Saint Peter’s and Siena). She started a six-game hitting streak three games later with a two-hit effort against Stony Brook. Kinhofer owned a .467 batting average during the six-game streak (7 of 15) . The infielder recorded five doubles during the regular-season with four coming in a five-game run. She had a double against Wagner before registering a two-base hit in consecutive games in the Saint Peter’s doubleheader and the first game against Siena. She played most of the season at second base, collecting 21 assists which placed fourth on the team.

 

2014: Gianna Kinhofer led all Fairfield newcomers with a .317 batting average, playing in all but one game in 2014. An All-MAAC first team player, she missed the season opener against Northern Illinois but came back to play in the final 41 games. She picked up a double in her collegiate debut against Lamar and scored one of the team’s two runs in that game. Kinhofer finished the season strongly, recording an eight-game hitting streak from April 13-26, collecting 10 hits in 21 at-bats. She hit all three of her home runs in the final five games of the regular-season, two of which came against Saint Peter’s. She tallied a career-best four RBI in that game, one of five multi-RBI games for the outfielder. She also tallied three RBI against Quinnipiac, two at Niagara, three vs. Rider, and two at Manhattan. Kinhofer also led all freshmen with 19 RBI and seven extra base hits. She tallied a hit in 23 of her 41 games.

Before Fairfield: Gianna Kinhofer was a senior captain at Ocean Township High School before enrolling at Fairfield University. She is primarily a shortstop but also has the ability to play other defensive positions. She is a two-time All-Group player, earning the honor as a sophomore and as a junior. Kinhofer also started at shortstop for the ASA Team New Jersey Belles.
