2016: Sieber made the transition from a spot starter at second base to the starting shortstop on April 10 during the Monmouth series. Her first start on the left side came in the second game versus Monmouth where she completed three putouts and an assist. She went on to start 21 straight games at that position and has handled the move well with 28 putouts and 29 assists against only three errors at shortstop (.950 field percentage). At the plate, Sieber owned a .194 batting average but hit .500 over the last four games of the regular season. All four hits came against Marist College including two singles and a double in the nightcap versus the Red Foxes. She her hit only home run of the season in her second game, a solo shot against Georgetown.
2015: Sieber started three games this season, all coming against non-conference foes (Hampton, Central Connecticut, Stony Brook). The infielder earned four of her eight at-bats in those starts, including a season-high two at-bats against Stony Brook. Her first game as a Stag came against Monmouth on March 7 when she went to the batter’s box twice. She was hit by a pitch in that game which led to her only run scored of the season. She picked up a base hit when she came off the bench to single in her one at-bat that game. She struck out only one time in her 10 plate appearances
Before Fairfield: Sieber joins the Fairfield softball team as an infielder after graduating from Massapequa High School. She was a member of the school’s softball team where she was a three-sport athlete. Sieber served as team captain for the field hockey, basketball, and softball teams. She was quite successful at all three sports, earning All-County honors for each program. In addition, Sieber collected All-Long Island second team honors and received All-State third team accolades. Sieber was also successful in the classroom as illustrated by her receiving the Female Scholar Athlete of the Year at Massapequa High School. In addition, Sieber played club softball, spending 10 seasons as a member of the Team Long Island Gold program. Sieber will study biochemistry at Fairfield University.
