2016: Kristen Ball spent time as the team’s starting shortstop for 25 games before moving over to second base for five games and to designated player for a pair of games. In all, the infielder started 31 games and batted .245 through the season. She put together a pair of four-game hitting streaks during the season, the first coming on March 5-6 during which she stroked four hits in 11 at-bats. She also strung together four consecutive games with a hit from March 11-16, batting .529 (9 of 17) with two doubles and four RBI. After that four-game run, the infielder owned a .350 batting average which was the highest point of the season. Ball showed her power capabilities with a home run against Northern Kentucky and Holy Cross, both in neutral settings. She recorded a hit in 18 games this year, including five multi-hit games that were highlighted by her four-hit effort against North Dakota.
2015: Ball raised her batting average with a strong showing at the MAAC tournament, finishing with a .192 hitting percentage. She picked up 15 hits, two HBP, and nine walks to reach base 26 times this year. The infielder had three extra base hits, all of which were triples and came over nine games (May 2-8). She picked up a three-base hit in the opener against Iona, the nightcap versus Manhattan, and another versus Monmouth at the MAAC tournament (May 8). Ball fared well in MAAC regular-season play as well, sporting a .250 batting average with six hits in 24 at-bats as well as a .400 on-base percentage. Against conference opponents, she registered five walks against just two strikeouts. In the field, Ball made just three errors in 99 chances including 40 assists
