Stags Play 36 Holes at Cape Fear National Intercollegiate

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Kevin Duncan carded a 77 in each round of Sunday’s action at the Cape Fear National Intercollegiate, pacing the Fairfield University men’s golf team through 36 holes at the event. Final round action tees off on Monday in Wilmington, N.C.

Duncan’s 154 places him tied for 26th place in the 95-golfer field. Kellen Jordan added a 161 (80-81) and Eric Austin posted a 163 (83-80). Rounded out the Stags’ performances today were Alex Taylor (164), Thomas Urciuoli (166) and Alex Ferrante (182).

With a collective 647, Fairfield is currently tied for 13th place through 36 holes with fellow MAAC squad Iona. Jacksonville State leads the field with a 600, headed by Camilo Aguado’s third-place showing of 148. Florida Gulf Coast’s Doug Smith currently tops the individual leaderboard with a 146.

After tomorrow’s final round, the Stags return to the links on March 25-26 at the Towson Spring Invitational at Prospect Bay Golf Course in Grasonville, Md.
