Men's Tennis Posts 7-0 Win Over Saint Peter's

FAIRFIED, Conn. - The Fairfield Unviersity men's tennis team opened their spring MAAC schedule with a powerful 7-0 win over Saint Peter's on Saturday afternoon. 

The Stags swept singles action with six straight-set wins. Brad Orban played at No. 1 winning, 6-0, 6-3. Anthony Caputo and Tyler Shibles both posted scores of 6-0, 6-0. Jeffrey Rodgers earned a 6-3. 6-1 win at No. 3, while Ethan Ammon and Dylan Appel recorded 6-1, 6-0, and 6-2, 6-4 wins at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively. 

In doubles action, the story was much the same as Fairfield dominated the contest. Orban/Caputo captured a 6-4 win. Rodgers/Shibles won 6-3, and Ammon/Appel grabbed a 6-1 victory. 

Fairfield's next match is on Friday when they host Monmouth on the WAC Tennis Courts at 2:00 p.m.
