Women's Tennis Edged By Wagner

FAIRFIED, Conn. -  The Fairfield Unviersity women's tennis team lost a close 4-3 match at Wagner College on Wednesday afternoon. The contest was tied 3-3 heading into No. 6 singles, but Madison Pautsch outlasted Emily Lombardi (7-6, 7-5) to earn the point and the win for her team.

In doubles action, the Seahawks won two out of three, but the Stags grabbed a victory from Sarah Stuhlmann / Nicole Aragones at No. 1 (6-2).

Stuhlmann earned another victory at No. 1 singles with a 6-2, 6-0 win. Diana Prinos grabbed a win at No. 3 (7-5, 6-1) and the third point of the day came from Jessica Pil who earned a win at No. 4 (6-4, 6-4). 

Fairfield is next on the courts on Sunday in South Orange, N.J. where they will challenge Seton Hall at 1:00 p.m.
