Seton Hall Tops Fairfield 7-0

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University women’s tennis team lost 7-0 to Seton Hall in South Orange, N.J. on Sunday afternoon.

The Pirates came out and took the doubles point by winning all three matches. Nicole Aragones / Sarah Stuhlmann fell 6-0 at No. 1, Emily Lombardi / Karen McKeough lost 6-2 at No. 2, and Diana Prinos / Shelby Vertula dropped 6-1 at No. 3.

Singles action was much of the same as Seton Hall won all six matches in straight sets. At No. 1, Stuhlmann lost 6-4, 6-3. At No. 2, Aragones dropped 6-0, 6-4. And in the third spot, Prinos fell 6-3, 6-0.

The Stags return home to host Monmouth in a MAAC contest at the WAC Tennis Courts on Monday at 3:30 p.m.
