Abigail Corning is entering her third year on the Fairfield University athletics staff and her first year as the Coordinator for Marketing and Fan Experience. Corning will serve as the primary contact for the Lil’ Stags Club and Lucas the Stag, and will oversee Stags in the Stands, the student spirit group on campus. She will also manage community service activities involving all 20 varsity sports, assist with group experiences and ticket sales, and manage game presentation for soccer, basketball and lacrosse.
Corning worked for two years as a Graduate Assistant for Marketing and Promotions for the Stags and graduated with her MBA in Marketing from Fairfield’s Dolan School of Business in May of 2016.
Prior to Fairfield, Corning attended Fordham University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing in May of 2014. While at Fordham, she was a two-year co-captain of the women’s basketball team, a 1,000-point scorer for the Rams, and was named the 2014 Atlantic 10 Women’s Basketball Championship Most Outstanding Player. She also helped lead her team to 2 postseasons, including an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament in 2014.
Off the court, Corning was president of Fordham’s Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), treasurer of the Business of Sports Society, and also worked in the academic advising office. During the summer of 2013, she interned with ESPN New York where she worked on both the marketing and promotions and production side of the radio station.
