Jordan Ayris joined the Fairfield University men's soccer staff as a graduate assistant coach in 2015 after playing four years with the Stags’ men’s soccer team. During his four-year career, Ayris ranked among the team’s all-time scorers.
He began his career with a team-high 23 points off a team-leading 10 goals during the 2011 campaign. He was responsible for six game-winning goals as a freshman as the team earned a 12-5-1 overall record, captured the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) championship, and advanced to the NCAA tournament. He was named the MAAC Rookie of the Year and was placed on the All-Region squad following his inaugural season with Fairfield.
As a sophomore, Ayris garnered 10 points after registering four goals and two assists including two game winners. He added a pair of goals and two assists to his career totals during the 2013 season before capping his career with three goals and an assist as a senior. He tallied the game-winning goal in Fairfield’s 1-0 MAAC Tournament quarterfinal win at Rider last November.
He finished his career ranked among Fairfield’s all-time scoring leaders, placing sixth in career scoring with 46 points and fourth in career goals with 19. He is one of five student-athletes in Fairfield soccer history to reach double digits in goals for a season, posting 10 in 2011.
Ayris played several seasons in the Premier Development League, leading FC London to the 2012 championship. He scored the game-winning goal in the championship game and earned the most valuable player award in the title match.
