Fabrizio Santolamazza is in his first year as a research scholar and intern of Sport Performance department at Fairfield University. His main field of research will be with Men’s and Women’s Basketball while assisting in the implementation of sports performance programs for a variety of athletic programs
Santolamazza graduated from University of Rome (Italy) in 2008 with a Bachelor degree in Exercise and Sport Science. He also earned a Master degree in sport coaching and fitness testing from the renowned University of Jyvaskyla (Finland) in 2011, He published a scientific articleentitled Effects of Prolonged Hypertrophic Resistance Training on Acute Endocrine Responses in Young and Older Men ( (J Aging Phys Act. 2015 Apr.)
Santolamazza has Basketball Specific Strength and Conditioning certification from the Italian Basketball Federation.
He came to Fairfield after spending one year at “Centro de Alto Rendimiento” (High Performance Center) of Barcelona, Spain and six years at San Paolo Ostiense Basketball (Italy) as Head of Strength and Conditioning. During that time, the U19, U17 and U15 teams he oversaw made two National Finals appearance and four Inter-regional finals.
