Fairfield Rowers Collect National Academic Honors

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- In addition to their achievements in the water, the Fairfield University rowing program also had its share of academic honors this year. Eight Stags were selected to their respective national organization's academic teams as named by the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) and the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA).

Casey Fuller represented the Fairfield rowing program on the IRA's All-Academic team. To be eligible for recognition, a student-athlete must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.35 or higher, completed one full year at their institution, be an institutional letter winner and competed at the 2016 IRA National Championship Regatta. 

The CRCA recognized Kerry Clarke,  Maria Levano, Danielle McKenna, Amanda McKenna, Briana Mullaney, Chloe Scherpa, and Megan DiBello. The requirements for earning CRCA Scholar-Athlete honors includedhas earnred a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher for her career through the fall semester/quarter for the current competition year.
