FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University tennis teams will host the Lafayette Leopards at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.

Last time out, the men’s team fell to Davidson 7-0 on January 29. Brad Orban and Tyler Shibles grabbed the only win of the day at No. 1 doubles with a 6-3 victory. The visiting Wildcats swept Fairfield in singles play, all in straight sets except for the first and third positions. Orban fell in three sets at No. 1 (3-6, 6-2, 10-6). And at No. 3 Caputo dropped 7-5, 4-6, 10-5.

The women’s team fell by the same score in their spring opener against St. John’s on January 27. In doubles action, Sarah Stuhlmann and Diana Prinos dropped in the first spot, 6-2. And in the second spot, Emily Lombardi and Jessica Pil fell 6-1. St. John's was just as impressive in singles play as they topped the Stags in straight sets in all six positions.

Lafayette’s men’s team opened the season with a 5-2 loss to La Salle on January 22. The Leopards earned singles wins from Drew Rooks and Andrew Reed at the second and third spots. And in doubles play, Rooks paired with Chris Kim for a win at No. 2 doubles.
