Stags Clash With Terriers on Saturday

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University men’s tennis team will host Boston University on Saturday at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center. First serve is slated for 2:30 p.m.

Last weekend, the Stags traveled to Philadelphia to face Saint Joseph’s and Drexel, falling short in each match. Brad Orban went to 2-0 in singles action against the two squads. At No. 1 singles he posted a 6-4, 6-2 win over the Hawks and in the match against the Dragons posted a 6-4, 6-1 win.

The Terriers head into the weekend at 4-6 overall this season. Their last match on February 18, they came out with a 5-2 win over Army. Senior Lucas Bombanatti led the charge with a No. 1 singles victory in straight sets. And then at No. 1 doubles with partner Satyajit Simhadri posted a 6-4 win.

Fairfield’s next match will be in Storrs against UConn on Thursday, March 2.
