Men's Tennis Faces Liberty on Wednesday

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Fairfield University men’s tennis team will fly to Orlando, Florida to face Liberty on a neutral court. The match against the Flames is scheduled for Wednesday, March 15 at 11:30 a.m.

The Stags are coming off a 0-3 weekend competing at the Yale Invitational against Marist, Stony Brook, and Yale. Dylan Appel posted two singles wins in the three matches with straight set victories at No. 5 singles over Marist and Stony Brook.

Liberty is 4-7 on the season and has lost four consecutive matches beginning on February 19 against Furman. Most recently, the Flames fell 6-1 to Valparaiso on March 12. Liberty earned a three set win at No. 3 singles from Vince Salas for their only point of the day.

Upon their return from Florida, the Stags will kick off their spring conference slate with a match at Saint Peter’s on March 25.
