2015: Smith competed in seven contests at midfield for the Stags. She saw action against Sacred Heart, Hofstra, Central Connecticut State, and conference foes Manhattan, Iona, Niagara, and Quinnipiac. Smith recorded four goals to finish the year with four points. She recorded one multi-goal game, scoring two goals at Quinnipiac on April 22. Smith took six shots, with five shots on goal, and earned a shots on goal percentage of .833. She also grabbed nine draw controls and caused one turnover.
2014: Smith appeared in seven contests at midfield for the Stags, where she tallied three goals for three points. Smith recorded goals against conference foes Niagara, Siena, and Quinnipiac. Smith picked up five ground balls, grabbed six draw controls, and caused two turnovers. She recorded four shots on goal, and a shots on goal percentage of .750.
Before Fairfield: Smith comes to Fairfield after lettering four seasons at Guilford High School, where she served as team captain her senior year and tallied 57 goals and 28 assists. Throughout her career, she helped the Indians to 42 wins and recorded 156 career goals and 70 career assists. As a junior and senior, she earned All-State First Team and New Haven All-Area honors and was a two-time Most Valuable Player (MVP). As a senior, Smith garnered Academic All-American accolades and was Guilford’s Female Athlete of the Year. She also lettered in field hockey and graduated as the all-time points leader in varsity history.
