FAIRFIELD, Conn. – On Saturday, April 29, Fairfield University Men's Soccer held a Friends reception on campus at the Levee. Nearly 40 alumni and student-athletes gathered to reconnect following the program's annual 6v6 Alumni Game at Lessing Field.

“A big ‘thank you' to all the Friends of Fairfield Men's Soccer that attended our alumni event” said Head Coach Carl Rees. “It was great catching up, swapping memories, having a laugh and discussing our Fairfield University Soccer family and the future of our program. We really do appreciate the support and we hope more alumni can join us next year!”

The event kicked off with greetings Coach Rees, who is currently in his 21st season at the helm of the Stags. MVP honors for the alumni game were presented to Paul McSherry '98. The former men's soccer standout took a moment to share with current student-athletes of the impact Fairfield soccer had on his life, and how athletics can help them push past roadblocks.
