Six Stags Named MAAC All-Academic

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Six Fairfield University swimming and diving student-athletes were named to the 2017 MAAC All-Academic Team as announced by the league offices. To be eligible, you must hold an overall GPA of 3.20 and have completed two full semesters.

On the men's side, senior Andrew Tavcar and junior Collin Hayes were named All-Academic performers for the second straight year. While sophomore Alec Melotto earned his first All-Acadmic nomination.

For the women, senior Leah Pawelczyk was named to her second All-Academic Team. And sophomores Jane Rice and Emily Vlass recieved their first All-Academic Team honors. 

The Fairfield swimming and diving teams continue with the 2017 MAAC Championships through Saturday, February 11.
