FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The alumni, family and friends of Fairfield University Athletics scored big during the University’s third annual STAGiving Day on March 8. More than 1,300 donors combined to contribute over $178,000 to Fairfield’s varsity and club sport programs.

“We thank our alumni, parents, and Friends for stepping up and being counted this STAGiving Day!” shared Marie Muhvic, Associate Director of Athletics/Director of Development for Athletics & Recreation. “Support for individual programs is essential for meaningful enhancements to the student-athlete experience such as training trips, travel, apparel, and equipment. Every gift of every size adds up and makes a difference. We also thank our student-athletes for their efforts in giving back to programs that impact their lives immensely.”

For this year’s event, Fairfield Athletics Development collaborated with GiveCampus.com, an online social platform that allows supporters to donate, share videos and watch real-time fundraising progress.

The following programs won this year’s challenges:

Alumni Participation Challenge Winner: Men’s Rowing
100% Team Participation Challenge Winners: Men’s Basketball, Men’s Lacrosse, Softball, Women’s Swimming & Diving, Women’s Tennis
