NEWTON, Mass. – Andrew Eidenshink and Jake Knostman of the Fairfield University men's lacrosse team have been tabbed as Academic All-New England by the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA). The two senior student-athletes, who earn the distinction for achievement both academically and athletically throughout their careers, are set to graduate from Fairfield this Sunday.

Eidenshink is a Dean's List student as a Finance major in Fairfield's Charles F. Dolan School of Business. He appeared in 48 career games with the Stags' defense, including the past two seasons as a starter. A Second Team All-CAA honoree in 2016 and a Preseason All-America Honorable Mention this spring, Eidenshink has picked up the first two points of his career in 2017 with a pair of assists during CAA play.

One of 20 candidates nationwide for the Senior CLASS Award, Knostman has earned Dean's List honors in every semester as a double major in Information Systems and Economics. He is a Magis Scholar and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Omicron Delta Epsilon – the honor societies for business and economics, respectively. On the field, the two-year captain of the Stags scored 54 goals with 15 assists in his career. He finished his career with 62 games played – one appearance shy of the program record.

The Stags finished the 2017 season at 5-9, ending with back-to-back victories over CAA foes No. 15 Towson and Delaware on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium.
