The women's swimming team had a successful year in the pool and in the classroom. It was announced team had the highest collective grade point average out of Fairfield's 20 varsity programs. They posted a 3.43 GPA for the 2007-08 academic year.

During the fall semester, 19 of the 21 members of the team earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher, including seven members of the University's Dean's List. In the spring, 19 Stags earned above a 3.0 GPA with 12 earning a spot on the Dean's List. In addition, seven swimmers and divers were named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Academic Honor Roll
