Men's and women's swimming and diving head coach Bill Farley announced that Taylor Stecko, Boris Romanovsky, Marina Meliones, and Allison Russoniello will be the team captains for the 2009-2010 season.

Stecko and Romanovsky will enter their final campaign with the men's team in the fall. Stecko has been outstanding on the boards during his career at Fairfield. At the 2009 ECAC Championships, he posted the highest finish ever by a Stag take sixth in both events. Stecko is also a school recordholder on both boards. Romanovsky has been a strong contributor in the backstroke, butterfly, and relay events and is a part of four school records. Romanovsky is also a two-time MAAC All-Academic selection.

On the women's side, Meliones will enter her final season during 2009-10. The two-time MAAC All-Academic selection provides depth for the Stags in all events. Out of the pool, Meliones is the organizer for the Fairfield University Swimming Lessons Program/Fundraiser. Russoniello, who will be a junior next season, has made a splash in her first two seasons with the Stags; she's an ECAC qualifier, a school recordholder, and a MAAC All-Academic selection.
