For the fourth consecutive semester, the women's swimming and diving team posted the highest collective grade point average out of Fairfield's 20 varsity programs. They posted a 3.40 GPA for the Spring 2009 semester.

During the spring, 20 of the 25 team members earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher, including 13 members on the University's Dean's List. In the fall, 20 student-athletes had a GPA of 3.0 or higher, including 11 on the Dean's List.

During the 2007-08 academic year the women's swimming team posted the highest overall team GPA with a 3.43.
