RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Fairfield University women's swimming team won 10 events en-route to defeating Manhattan, 111.5-68.5, on Friday evening. With the win, the Stags improve to 7-5 on the season.

Fairfield was led by freshman Rachel Waldstein (Needham, Mass.) who swam as a member of the first-place 400-yard medley relay team along with classmates Christine Pfeifer (Middle Village, N.Y.), Liz Lawlor (North Wales, Pa.), and Laura Brown (Raleigh, N.C.). Waldstein then went on to take first-place finishes in the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly.

Senior Kelly Steele was also a double winner for the Stags, taking first-place in both the 50 free and 100 backstroke.

In addition to their first-place finish with the 400 medley relay, Dent and Lawlor put in strong individual performances as Dent also won the 100 free and took second-place in the 50 free while Lawlor took second-place in the 200 IM.
