Baltimore, Md. - The Fairfield University swimming and diving teams dropped a pair of dual meets to Loyola College and Georgetown University on Saturday. The men fell 155-81 to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) member Loyola, and fell to Big East member Georgetown 178-62. The women dropped a 157-86 decision to the Greyhounds and a 177-66 meet to the Hoyas.

Jennifer Masi continued her early season success in the sprint freestyle, capturing the 50-free in a time of 24.84. She touched second in the 100 free in a time of 55.53. Elizabeth Lawlor was the runner-up in the women's breaststroke, in a time of 1:10.10.

Robert Penwell earned a win for the men on the one-meter board. He put up a score of 202.30 to edge runnerup Santini Reali from Georgetown by .30 points. Penwell had the finish reversed on the high board, as he put up 215.95 points, just 3.9 points behind Reali, the winner. Katharine Yee placed third for the Stags on both the one and three-meter boards.

Raul Dalgadillo was third in the 100 breaststroke for Fairfield, touching behind a pair from Loyola, in a time of 1:03.97.

The Stags return to action with a pair of dual meets against MAAC foes this weekend. Fairfield hosts Niagara on Friday, at 6 p.m., before traveling to Marist for a 1 p.m. start on Saturday.
