EDISON, N.J. - Fairfield University women's swimmer Brittany Hunter was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) swimmer of the week on Tuesday afternoon.
Hunter had a solid weekend for the Stags picking up three individual wins against Niagara, as the Stags won 144-99. She won the 800-yard freestyle in a time of 9:29.98, and then picked up a win in the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:#1.73. Hunter finished the meet with a win in the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:29.92. She would also win the 200-yard freestyle (2:01:70) and the 400-yard individual medley in 4:47.75 the next day at Marist.
Both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 29, for a quick trip down Interstate-95 for a meet against Iona College.
