HAMDEN, Conn. - The Fairfield University men's cross country team finished eighth out of 13 teams, and the Fairfield women's cross country team finished seventh out of 12 teams at the 2004 Quinnipiac Invitational on the Quinnipiac campus Friday afternoon.
The Fairfield men were led by senior Bryan Mahoney who finished 20th overall with a 27:26.2, he was followed by Justin Rindos with a 28:26.4, Devin Hagen with a 29:13.6, AJ Kastanotis with a 29:29.7, Craig Sabatini with a 29:36.5, and AJ Lawrence with a 29:46.0.
The Fairfield women were led by Stephanie Stote with a 20:19.6, for a 20th overall finish. Stote, was followed by Lauren Wilson with a 20:57.8, Shannon Kenefick with a 21:03.1, Kara O'Connell with a 21:05.4, Megan Krueger with a 21:37.9, Courtney Kincaid with a 21:45.1, and Liz Casey with a 22:07.0.
Both team return to action next Saturday afternoon, for the 28th running of the Fairfield Invitational.
