BRONX, N.Y. - The Fairfield men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up its 2006 season with a solid showing at the ECAC/IC4A Cross Country Championships in Van Cortlandt Park this morning.

Freshman Kaitlyn Hurley (Warwick, N.Y.) was the top-finisher for the Stags on the women's side, placing 39th overall with a time of 19:52.6 for the fifth-fastest time recorded by a Stag a Van Cortlandt Park.

Senior Courtney Kincaid (Hanover, Mass.) clocked a time of 20:26. in her final collegiate race while freshman Caroline Conant (East Longmeadow, Mass.) posted a time of 20:35.6 to cross the line third for the Stags. Both times were among the top-20 fastest all-time at Van Cortlandt Park by the Stags.

Sophomore Devann Ard (Watchung, N.J.) recorded a time of 21:11.1 while senior Liz Casey recorded a time of 21:46.6. Freshman Ashley Doran (Brick, N.J.) registered a time of 22:14.8 while classmate Mary Morris (Milton, Mass.) rounded out the scorers with a time of 22:15.3.

On the men's side, senior Dan Ryan (Reading, Mass.) posted a time of 28:44.3 to cross the line first for the Stags. Junior Duncan Gerity (Glastonbury, Conn.) notched a time of 29:20.7 while senior John LaCagnina (East Meadow, N.Y.) posted a time of 29:38.5. Freshman Kevin Manke (Ridgewood, N.J.) clocked a time of 29:55.3 and was followed by senior J.D. Worrall (Totowa, N.J.) in 30:17.3 and freshman Chris Rhodes (York, Maine) in a time of 31:52.8.

The women's team finished 16th overall in the university division while the men's team placed 19th overall.
