BRADENTON, Fla. - The Fairfield baseball team's final game in Florida ended on a soggy note as the Stags' contest against Army was halted in the fifth inning due to heavy rains.

The two teams had played four scoreless innings before rain and wet field conditions prompted the cancellation. Senior Ed Kamintzky was off to one of his best starts of the season, tossing a two-hitter in just four and one-third innings of work.

Fairfield resumes action in the the Northeast on March 20 when the Stags head to St. John's University. Fairfield then begins a five-game homestand beginning with Central Connecticut State on March 21.
