Junior Brian Schappert (Wyckoff, N.J./Saint Joseph's University) walked to load the bases for sophomore Albie DeSimone (Pelham, N.Y./Pelham Memorial) who hit into a fielder's choice, which allowed Girolamo to score.
Manhattan would score an unearned run in the home half of the fifth, and Scaife drove a pitch over the right field fence for his second round tripper of the day, and third of the series. He finished the series 4-for-11 with three homeruns, seven runs batted in, and four runs scored.
