Siena (7-27, 5-9 MAAC) threatened in the top of the third inning, loading the bases with one out but Kamintzky was able to fan Chris Klepps and Eric Mruczek to end the threat. The Saint loaded the bases again with one out in the top of the fourth inning but Kamintzky was able to get the final two outs of the inning to come away unscathed.

Fairfield added another run in the bottom half of the fourth inning as Allen scored on an error by the Siena defense. The Stags put the game away in the bottom of the seventh inning by tacking three runs on the board.
