FAIRFIELD, Conn.--The Fairfield University baseball team opens the 2005 campaign this weekend with a three-game series at Virginia Commonwealth. Fairfield will also stay in the Old Dominion State, with single nine-inning games at Liberty (3/9), and Radford (3/10), before ending the spring break trip with a three-game series at George Mason (3/12-3/13).

Fairfield will begin its fifty-fifth season of intercollegiate baseball this spring, after the program's inception in the 1951 season.
