RICHMOND, Va. - The Fairfield University baseball team's season opener has been pushed back to Sunday afternoon due to inclement weather. Fairfield was to open the season with a nine-inning game at Virginia Commonwealth University at the Petersburg Sports Complex in Petersburg, Va.
Fairfield will meet VCU in a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday's game will be made up on Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. at the Petersburg Sports Complex.
The Stags have added an additional game to their season opening trip to Virginia with a nine-inning game at the Virginia Military Institute. Please check back for further information.
