BRADENTON, Fla. - Fairfield is 2-4 after splitting two seven-inning games against Columbia and Bucknell. The Stags defeated Columbia, 4-3, but fell to Bucknell 8-6 in the nightcap. Fairfield is 2-2 on its trip to the Sunshine State.

**Sophomore Doug Anderson is the team's leading hitter this season batting .350 with three homeruns and nine RBI. The New Jersey native also has a gaudy .900 slugging percentage, and a .435 on-base percentage. He is also hitting .667 with runners on base, and .571 with two outs. He has also hit .500 with runners in scoring position. Eight of his runs batted in have come with two outs.

**With the win against Columbia the Stags now lead the all-time series with the Lions, 6-4.

**After missing parts of the last two seasons due to an injury senior Matt Young picked up a victory against Columbia on Wednesday. Young went the distance in the seven-inning game yielding three runs on five hits, and one walk. He struck out four Lions on the day.

**Anderson had a career-high six runs batted in against Miami of Ohio on March 15. In the game he went 3-for-4 with two homeruns and a double. The shortstop also scored two runs in the ballgame.

**Senior Tom Maisano has nine strikeouts on the season, and with his next strikeout he will record the 150th of his career. In 2002 he had the fourth highest single season total with 74.

**Senior Nick Hudyma has three multiple hits this season, senior Antuan Barnett is second with a pair of two-hit games. Doug Anderson has two multiple RBI games this season.

**Doug Anderson and senior Sal Mancuso carry a four-game hitting streak into this afternoon's game with Dartmouth.

**Two of Fairfield's players are making a trip to their home State. Seniors Pablo Tamayo and Derek Leon hail from Miami, Fla.

**Fairfield Assistant Coach Bill Consiglio earned his master's degree from Miami (Ohio), and was an assistant on the RedHawk coaching staff.

**Fairfield is a perfect 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts so far this season.

**Sal Mancuso is 2-for-3 with a runner on third and less than two outs.
