FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Fairfield University baseball team's game with the University of Connecticut originally scheduled for 3 p.m., on Thursday afternoon was postponed due to heavy rains in the Northeast.

The game looks to be made up as part of a doubleheader on Tuesday, April 20, in Storrs, Conn. The Stags and the Huskies were originally scheduled to play a nine-inning game that day. More information on the doubleheader will be announced at a later date.

Fairfield will now turn its attention to its second Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) series of the season, when Canisius College comes to town for a three-game set. A doubleheader is slated for Saturday afternoon, at 12 p.m., and a single nine-inning game on Sunday afternoon, with first pitch scheduled for 12 p.m.

The Stags are 4-9 overall, and 1-2 in the MAAC, after picking up a 7-4 win over Central Connecticut State on Tuesday afternoon.
