FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Today's Fairfield University baseball game against the University at Albany has been cancelled. The game originally scheduled for 3 p.m. at Alumni Diamond was called off due to the rainfall in Southwestern Connecticut overnight.
No makeup date has been announced.
The Stags will now turn their attention to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) series this weekend with Rider University. Fairfield enters the series with the Broncs, in a four-way tie for second place in the MAAC standings with a 4-2 record.
The series begins with a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 12 p.m. The series will conclude on Sunday with a nine-inning game, at 12 p.m.
