On Deck...The Fairfield University baseball team welcomes the University at Albany to Alumni Diamond, this afternoon or a non-conference game, before hitting the road for a weekend MAAC series at Le Moyne

MAAC Kudos... Freshman Brian Rudolph was named the MAAC Rookie of the Week on Monday. He is the second player to be named Rookie of the Week, as freshman Adam Chilelli garnered the same award on March 14. Rudolph had 10 hits in three games last week with four doubles, while batting .625.

Quick Hits... Junior John Scaife leads Fairfield with 21 runs batted in ... Ten of those RBI, has come in the last four games ... He had a career-best of six against Saint Peter's in a 29-10 win on March 31 ... The school-record is eight as Paul Macchio did it against Manhattan (4/5/99), and Sean Easton matched that feat against CW Post (4/8/99) ... Catcher Tom Arpino has driven in nine runners over the last four games ... He had five, last Sunday against Saint Peter's, and two in each of the doubleheader games on Monday... Aripno has 15 RBI this season ... Fairfield has played or will play six teams ranked in the latest CollegeBaseballInsider.com Northeast Coaches Poll ... George Mason (17-6) in No. 1, followed by VCU (16-6) is fourth, Villanova (15-7-1) is fifth, Connecticut (18-7) is seventh, Army (12-7) is tied for 11th, and St. John's, which the Stags beat 18-13, is 13th ... Junior Jim Girolamo enters today's game riding a nine game hitting streak ... In that span he has hit .395 (15-38), scored 11 runs, driven in five, and knocked four of his seven doubles of the season ... Freshman Brian Rudolph had his 10-game hitting streak snapped yesterday at Hartford ... Rudolph, hit .489 with 12 runs scored, 10 runs batted in, and nine doubles during the streak ... Fairfield is ranked first in the MAAC in fielding percentage.
