FAIRFIELD, Conn. - For the second day in a row, the Fairfield University baseball team's game has been washed out, due to heavy rain fall in the Northeast. The Stags were scheduled to travel to the University of Rhode Island in a non-conference match up, at Bill Beck Field, in Kingston, R.I. The game will not be made up.
On Tuesday, the Stags were scheduled to entertain Pace University at Alumni Diamond, but rain forced the postponement.
Fairfield has rescheduled its rained out game with the University of Connecticut, from April 1. The game will now be part of a doubleheader on April 20 at J.O. Christian Field in Storrs, Conn. The Stags and the Huskies will played two seven-inning games, beginning at 2 p.m.
The Stags, will now prepare for their first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) road series of the season, this weekend, with a trip to Loudonville, N.Y., to face Siena College in a three-game set. Fairfield is 9-11 overall, and 5-4 in the MAAC.
