FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Fairfield University baseball team will make the short trip up Interstate-95 for a mid-week doubleheader at Yale University on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Fairfield enters the game with an 11-18 overall record, and a 6-6 mark in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Yale is 21-14 overall and 8-4 in the Ivy League.

He is 7-of-18 (.389) with a double and five runs scored in that span ... In MAAC games sophomore Albie DeSimone leads the Stags with a .325 batting average (13-40) ... He has knocked in seven runs, and scored five times ... On the season, DeSimone is second on the team with a .273 batting average with three doubles, nine runs batted in and 12 runs scored.
Yale Series: Entering this afternoon's twinbill, Yale leads the all-time series with the Stags 18-12 ... Last year; the Bulldogs took a doubleheader from the Stags at Yale Field, winning 9-6 and 6-1.
