Fairfield, Conn. - The Fairfield University baseball team is on a roll, winning five straight games and six of seven last week. The hot streak has gotten the Stags to the .500 mark at 18-18 overall and 10-10 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play. The pitching of senior Mick Feeley (Glenview, Ill.) had a big hand in the Stags' success and for his efforts he was named MAAC South Pitcher of the Week.

In Feeley's 12.2 innings of work last week he posted a 1.42 ERA, earning a win and a save. In Fairfield's 3-2 extra inning victory over Central Connecticut State on Tuesday, Feeley went all 10 innings and allowed just two earned runs, while striking out a career-high six batters. Feeley got the save in Sunday's 5-3 win over Canisius as he retired all eight batters he faced. On the season the 6-foot-3 right hander's record stands at 3-4.

The Stags return to action on Wednesday when they host Iona (17-18, 9-7 MAAC) in a pivotal MAAC doubleheader at 1:00 pm. They will then take on non-conference foe Pace in a twin-bill on Saturday before traveling to St. Peter's for another MAAC doubleheader on Sunday.
