Fishkill, N.Y. - Today's opening game of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Tournament between Fairfield and Le Moyne was suspended in the third inning due to inclement weather. The game is tentatively scheduled to be resumed at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, N.Y., weather permitting.
Fairfield took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Bittner (Emerson, N.J.). After Le Moyne posted three runs in the bottom of the second, Fairfield answered with two runs on a single by Jon Novalis (Florham Park, N.J.) to knot the game at 3-3. Bittner was the next batter when the rain came and the game was suspended.
