FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Former Fairfield University pitcher Tim Dugan (2002-05) pitched two innings of shutout baseball for the North Shore Spirit on June 20, against the Brockton Rox. The Spirit defeated the Rox, 12-1 in front of 3,017 fans at Fraser Field in Lynn, Mass.

Dugan, allowed only one hit, while striking out a batter in his second relief appearance of the season. In two games, he has pitched four innings allowing a run on four hits and a walk. He has recorded three strikeouts.

In his four seasons with the Stags, Dugan recorded 13 wins, and finished his career tied for third on the school's all-time strikeout list with 189.

North Shore is 14-8 on the season, just one game back of league-leading Sussex for first place. The Spirit closes out a home stand this evening against the Rox, and will begin a three-game series at the New Haven County Cutters on Friday evening.
