2006-07: Devin Johnson started seven of his first eight games as a Stag, and finished the campaign with 19 starts. He played in all 32 games, recording 2.6 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. The guard scored in five of his first six games, and averaged nearly three rebounds per game during that stretch. He secured at least one rebound in 16 of his 19 starts, including six games with four or more rebounds. He tallied a personal-best eight points at Boston College, a mark he later tied at Manhattan one month later. Johnson registered a career-high six rebounds at Niagara, all of which came on the offensive glass. In fact, Johnson was one of two players with more offensive than defensive rebounds for the season (37 offensive, 32 defensive), joining classmate Anthony Johnson for that honor. Johnson took good care of the basketball last year, as he committed just two turnovers in his final six games (nine assists, five steals).

Before Fairfield: Devin Johnson led Meadowbrook High School to a 24-6 record during his senior year, helping his teammates capture both the regional and sectional championship in 2006. He played an integral role in the team's success by averaging a double double a year ago. Johnson tallied 20 points and 10 rebounds per game, plus added five assists and two steals every forty minutes. For his efforts, Johnson was selected to several post-season teams, which included All-City, All-State, and All-Region accolades. The guard was a three-time captain, dating back to his sophomore season. For his career, Johnson showed his complete game by averaging 15 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and two steals per outing, including his 20-point average as a senior.
