2006-07: Geoff Middleton provided another inside option for the Stags a year ago, as he saw action in 15 games as a reserve. His ability to gain position close the basket helped him score as well as rebound. The forward tallied points in five games in 2006-07, highlighted by his five-point outing against Boston College. Middleton scored in back-to-back games when he followed up his Boston College performance with two points against Manhattan in the team's MAAC opener. He secured at least one rebound in six games, which included a season-high two caroms against Manhattan. Middleton registered four offensive and three defensive rebounds during the year. He made five of his eight field goal attempts, which translated into a .625 shooting percentage. Middleton shot 50 percent or better in five of the seven games in which he attempted a field goal. For his career, Middleton owns a .500 field goal percentage (39 of 78).

2005-06: Middleton became one of the team's top inside players off the bench during the year, finishing up the regular season with 3.1 rebounds per game which tied him for first among reserve players. He tallied four or more rebounds nine times, highlighted by his seven rebounds at Iona. He scored a personal best eight points against Canisius in early January. Middleton scored in 16 games, including the last six regular-season outings. Middleton was also one of the team's top shot blockers during the year, rejecting at least one shot in eight games with two multi-block games. He picked up four blocks in the win over Tulane in December. Middleton shot 50.9 percent from the floor, which represented the top field goal percentage on the team. He shot 50 percent or better in 13 games, including seven straight games between December 14 and January 15 (15 of 22).

2004-05: Middleton made his debut on November 12 against Alabama A&M in the second round of the Coaches versus Cancer tournament. He played four minutes that night. He surpassed that total with five minutes of work against George Washington, scoring four points by making two of four field goal attempts. He also added a rebound in the game, one of seven caroms he would record on the season. Middleton, who had at least one rebound in five of his 15 games, secured a personal-high two rebounds at Rider, a mark he would later reach at Loyola. He played 10 minutes against Niagara on February 12, his longest outing of the year. For the season, Middleton shot 42 percent from the floor and averaged 0.7 points as well as 0.5 rebounds per game.

Before Fairfield: Middleton came to Fairfield University after a successful career at Columbia High School in New Jersey. He had a solid senior season at Columbia, where he averaged better than 14 points per game. Middleton was listed as a top 10 center by the Newark Star Ledger before his senior season.  He lived up to those expectations throughout the campaign, showing his scoring prowess with a 35-point night against Montclair in the second round of the Essex County Tournament, one of several 20-plus point performances during his senior campaign. He netted a double-double against Roxbury with 22 points and 10 rebounds, and also reached the mark with a 20-point, 13-rebound evening. Middleton netted 21 points against East Orange. As a junior, Middleton averaged 12 points, seven rebounds and three blocks per game. He played with the Newark Rams, an AAU travel team in northern New Jersey.
