2006-07: Allen came off the bench in all but two games last season, and performed well as one of the team's top reserves. The team won his two starts, which improved the Stags' record to 5-2 when he is in the starting lineup throughout his career. Seven of his eight double-digit scoring efforts were as a reserve with the lone exception coming in his first start (10 points vs. Mississippi). Allen was one of the team's top three-point shooters with one three-point basket in 15 of 32 games. Five of his final six baskets were from behind the three-point line. He tallied 10 or more points in three straight games for the first time in his career with 13 points at Niagara, 11 points vs. Rider, and 15 points at Iona. He surpassed that 15-point performance with a season-high 19 markers in a win over Saint Peter's. Allen placed third among his teammates with five steals at Saint Peter's, which was the most by any Stag during the 2006-07 season. Allen developed into a dependable free throw shooter by hitting 70.8 percent of his shots, placing him 15^th in the conference.

2005-06: Allen became a reliable scorer during the second half of the season, which helped him garner five starts (at Marist, Rider, Niagara, at Siena, and Iona). Over the last 16 regular season games, Allen averaged 9.3 points per game which was aided by seven double-figure scoring efforts. Allen scored 28 points in the first 11 games of the season, but exploded for 17 points in a win at Rider in January. He went on to score in double digits four of the next six games, which allowed him to average 13.1 points per game during the stretch. Allen earned the MAAC Rookie of the Week award on January 16 after averaging 12.3 points per game in a 2-1 week for the Stags. Allen showed his ability to score quickly at Iona. After going scoreless in the opening 20 minutes, the freshman tallied 16 points in the second half. Allen averaged better than one assist per game, and had more assists (33) than turnovers (29). He capped the regular season by earning a spot on the MAAC All-Rookie team, after averaging 8.6 points per game against conference foes.

Before Fairfield: Allen comes to Fairfield University after a highly-successful career at Bishop Loughlin High School in New York City. The guard was an instrumental player in the team's run to the Diocesan tournament championship under Head Coach Khalid Greene. He scored 32 points in the semi-final victory over ranked Christ the King which included the game-winning hoop with four seconds remaining. He averaged nearly 13 points per game as a senior. Allen received several honors during his career, including a spot on the All-CHSAA team. As a senior, he played in the prestigious Jordan Classic Regional game, leading the city team with 19 points and four three-point baskets in a 104-89 loss against the suburban squad. In his junior year, Allen received All-City honors as a guard.
