Fairfield University (7-14 overall, 5-6 MAAC) will. look to rebound from its 88-60 loss at Canisius College on Friday night. The Stags jumped out to an early lead at 7-5 in the opening minutes but a 15-0 run by the Griffs put Fairfield behind by 13 points at 20-7. Fairfield never came closer than 10 points from that point. Jonathan Han led all Fairfield scorers with 14 points, one of three double digit scorers. Mike Evanovich and Yorel Hawkins reached double figures with 11 and 10 points respectively. The Stags are playing the second of three straight road games, which isn't necessarily a bad thing since the team has won more road games (4) than home games (3) this year. Han remains the team's leading scorer with 10.9 points per game, while Anthony Johnson places second in scoring with 9.5 points per game and first in rebounding with 7.4 caroms per contest.

Niagara University (13-6 overall, 7-3 MAAC) will play its first game of the weekend since its Friday opponent Loyola College was not able to travel because of poor weather conditions. The Purple Eagles will play the Greyhounds on Tuesday night, giving them four games over the next eight days (Fairfield today, Loyola on Tuesdady, at Rider next Friday, and at Loyola next Sunday).. The team has not played since last Sunday when it posted a 73-61 win against the Stags in Bridgeport. Charron Fisher remains the top scorers in the MAAC, netting 27 points per game, and has been consistently ranked among the top three scorers in the nation. Tyrone Lewis, who led all scorers last week against the Stags with a career-high tying 27 points, places second among his teammates with 15-plus points per game. Stanley Hodge is the third Niagara player to score in double figures, netting 12.1 points every forty minutes.
