FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Junior Jonathan Han earned a spot on the All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) second team after leading the conference in assists and minutes played this season. The berth marks Han's first post-season appearance on the All-MAAC team.

Han finished the regular season as the team's top scorer with 11.7 points per game, the team's only double-digit scorer. He was also the conference's leader for assists (6.12 per game) and minutes played (38.24 per game). Han played 231 consecutive minutes before seeing the streak end with four minutes to go against Rider on March 2. The streak started in the second half against Iona on February 10.

He posted 178 assists so far this season, which is the fifth-highest single-season total in Fairfield history. The guard could reach the number three spot in the annals with 10 more assists. Joe DeSantis stands in front of him with 183 assists in 1978-79 and 1987 in 1977-78. His season total raised his career total to 406. He is one of only eight players in Fairfield history to reach the 400-assist plateau.

Han will lead the Stags into the 2008 MAAC tournament on Saturday afternoon at the Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. The fifth-seeded Stags will play fourth-seeded Loyola College, beginning at 2:15 pm. The Fairfield University men's basketball team, under second-year Head Coach Ed Cooley, brings a 14-15 overall record and an 11-7 conference mark into the game.
