Fairfield University (5-10 overall, 3-2 MAAC) takes to the road on Sunday afternoon, its fifth road game in the last six outings. The Stags should look forward to its two-game road swing, which continues with a game at Iona on Friday night. The team has won four of its nine home games this year, and brings an unblemished 3-0 MAAC road record into this contest. The Stags have played three straight close game, all decided by four points or less. Fairfield won the first two games in the three-game run, but came up short on Friday night against Loyola by a 67-63 count. The Stags received a career performance from Herbie Allen in their last outing, as the junior tallied a career-high 23 points off a personal-best eight field goals in 13 attempts. The guard tallied 17 of his points in the second half and nearly helped the team erase an 11-point deficit with seven minutes remaining. Jonathan Han tallied nine points, all in the second half, which still keeps in front of all Fairfield scorers with 11.5 points per game. Greg Nero is second among his teammates with 9.8 points per contest.

Marist College (10-6 overall, 4-1MAAC) reached double figures in the win column with an 86-71 victory against Saint Peter's College, pushing the Red Foxes into a first-place tie with Niagara and Siena. Jay Gavin led the team in scoring for the third straight game, all of which were 20-plus point performances. He netted 21 points against Saint Peter's after scoring 21 at Rider and 23 against Manhattan. Despite the offensive surge, Gavin places second on the team in scoring with 12.4 points per game, just behind Louis McCroskey's 12.9 scoring average. Gavin's offensive prowess is even more impressive when you consider he hasn't started any of his 16 appearances. Spongy Benjamin has been the team's top rebounder with 7.1 caroms per contest. Head Coach Matt Brady has used a regular rotation throughout the year, with only one player averaging more than 30 minutes per game - David Devezin at 30.7 minutes per contest.
