BUFFALO, N.Y. - Jonathan Han scored a team-high 14 points and added five assists with three steals in an 88-60 loss to Canisius College on the road. Mike Evanovich and Yorel Hawkins also reached double figures with 11 and 10 points respectively.

Fairfield jumped out to a 3-0 lead to start the game as Mike Evanovich hit  a three-point basket on the team's first possession. Frank Turner tied the game with a three pointer, but Han pushed the Stags back in front with a pair of free throws to make the score 5-3. Turner tied the game once again with a lay up with 17:28 remaining in the half. On the Stags next possession, it was Yorel Hawkins' turn to put Fairfield in front as his lay up gave the visitors a 7-5 lead.

Canisius took control of the game from that point, starting with a 15-0 run that put the Golden Griffs in front by a 20-7 count. Warren Edney broke the scoreless drought with a lay up at the 9:50 mark, ending a near-eight minute drought. Canisius put much of the distance between it and Fairfield via the three-point shot. The Griffs made 12 of 16 three-point baskets in the first half, as six different players netted a long-range basket in the opening 20 minutes. The accurate shooting allowed Canisius to build a 27-point halftime lead, enjoying a 53-26 advantage at intermission.
