NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Dominick Martin had 18 points and Alex Gamboa chipped in 14 including a key 3-pointer with under a minute remaining to lead Yale to a 60-57 win over Fairfield Wednesday night.

Gamboa hit from behind the 3-point arc with 53.6 seconds left to give Yale a 57-55 lead during a 9-0 run that put the Bulldogs up by four points with 22 seconds left.

Yale, which trailed by as many as 12 in the final minute of the first half, held Fairfield scoreless for more than 4 minutes until DeWitt Maxwell's lay-in with 5.5 seconds left pulled the Stags to within 59-57. Gamboa was fouled and made the first of two free throws with 3.9 seconds left.

Tyquawn Goode's 40-foot 3-point attempt at the buzzer hit the left side of the rim.

Casey Hughes had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Yale (4-7).

Deng Gai had 16 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocks for Fairfield (6-6). Terrence Todd also had 16. The two combined for seven points in the second half.
