NEW YORK (AP) - Antoine Pearson scored the go-ahead basket with 2:15 remaining and Manhattan went on to beat Fairfield 58-54 on Saturday.
Arturo Dubois scored 20 points, and Devon Austin had 12 for the Jaspers (5-8, 2-1 Metro Atlantic). Mike Van Schaick had 13 points and Greg Nero 11 for the Stags (3-13, 1-3) in their third straight loss.
Pearson gave the Jaspers a 51-50 lead and Manhattan sealed the victory with two free throws by Guy Ngarndi and Patrick Bouli and one by Austin in the final 38 seconds.
Fairfield led 25-24 at halftime and took a 43-37 advantage on Devin Johnson's two free throws midway through the second half.
Austin's basket with 4:12 to go capped a 9-0 run that propelled the Jaspers to a 49-47 lead. The Stags responded with a free throw by Nero and Van Schaick's basket to gain their last lead of the game, 50-49 with 3:22 left.
Manhattan shot 46.8 percent from the field while limiting Fairfield to 33.9 percent.
